Hi, I'm Elizabeth.

I'm an eating disorders psychotherapist with over 12 years of experience supporting individuals struggling with eating disorders, body image difficulties, anxiety and related emotional challenges.

I believe that our relationship with food and our bodies are rarely just about food or appearance. They're often intertwined with our emotions, experiences, relationships and sense of self.

My aim is to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood and supported as they work towards meaningful, lasting change.

My Background & Experience

I hold a Master's degree in Counselling from Columbia University in New York and am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Over the past 12 years, I've worked across inpatient and outpatient mental health settings in both New York and London, supporting individuals with eating disorders and a range of complex mental health difficulties.

I currently work with teenage girls and adult women through my private practice and at the Nightingale Hospital in London.

My clinical work includes supporting individuals experiencing anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, disordered eating and body image difficulties.

My Approach

I recognise that no two people experience eating disorders or emotional difficulties in exactly the same way.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate and tailored to the individual, taking into account not only their symptoms, but also the wider experiences and circumstances that shape their relationship with themselves.

I offer cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as CBT-E, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

I believe that recovery is about so much more than changing eating behaviours. It's also about building self-understanding, developing healthier coping strategies and creating a life that feels less dominated by food, weight and self-criticism.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Alongside my clinical work, I'm passionate about education, prevention and helping important conversations reach beyond the therapy room.

Through workshops, professional training and my online content, I explore topics including body image, eating disorders, self-worth, dating, relationships and the pressures we place on ourselves and others.

I have a particular interest in supporting individuals and families within the Jewish community, and in helping educators, parents and community professionals recognise and respond to eating disorders and body image concerns.

My hope is to make thoughtful, evidence-informed conversations about mental health more accessible, practical and relevant to everyday life.
